Image gallery

Hello, please can you recommend a plugin for image gallery which will work properly in the desktop theme as well as in the mobile theme, and for simple usage. You know: simply create thumbnails, simply insert single thumbnails in an article at desired position in text with enlarge function when clicking, create simply galleries with thumbnails from a folder and so on. The plugins I tried, they only work properly in the desktop theme but not in mobile theme, there the layout is broken. Thank you for help. Rudi

    Hi Rudi,

    Ive not had a chance to test out the pro version as yet, but will try it out and post my feedback. I opened up the SIG pro demo on my mobile and it looked nice.

    Hi Zahir, I tested the Simple Image Gallery, not the Pro version. It looks good and I am going to continue to add content to the new designed web side with business 2.0 template. Perhaps I will update the Simple Image Gallery to Pro version.

    I am very impressed by the mobile theme, that's why I have chosen the business 2.0 template for new designing web side. It looks like an app on tablet pc. If a image gallery works like a image presentation in apps (e.g. facebook etc.), that will be great. Perhaps you have an idea how to implement it. But now I will contiune with the Simple Image Gallery (Pro).

    Hi Zahir, thanks for quick reply.

    I have not tried the Simple Image Gallery (Pro) version. I tried the Simple Image Gallery Extended (SIGE). I do not know if this is the same as you told or if both plugins are developed by the same, looks like SIGE is not developed by JoomlaWorks. SIGE works good in the desktop version, it generates thumbnails and I get the enlarge image when clicking the thumbnail. But it does not work with mobile theme, neither switching to the mobile theme on desktop pc nor using the tablet (ipad, galaxy), it shows just "undefined" at enlarging the thumbnail. Strictly I have to disable the SIGE button (an additional button in the editor to set parameters for the images), otherwise the mobile theme will show the menu twice.

    I will check the Simple Image Gallery later and I will let you know.

    Hi Jusisweety,

    I do not know if you've already tried this or not, Simple Image Gallery (or the Pro version) by JoomlaWorks can do everything you've described. I almost always go for this extension everytime I have such requirements. If you've not had a chance to try out the simple image gallery plugin, let me know and I will try it out on this template and add my feedback here.
