Layout problem with Category blog

0
Hi guys, I'm having some formatting issues with Category blog layout between Chrome and IE.

Running Joomla 2.5 on xampp (local install)

1 attachment is from Chrome and shows it working correctly, the 2nd is from IE 8/9 and shows the problem I'm having. Hope someone has the answer to this?

Cheers,
David

    FIXED!

IE was automatically running compatibility mode for intranet sites, which was causing huge problems. I turned that off and everything started working perfectly.
Thanks for your time Zahir :)

    Hi David

I tried this as per the settings in the attached screenshot and could not seem to replicate this in IE. What are your menu settings for this?

Strange. I tried out the same settings and it looks fine on this end. Is your site online? If so, please send me a link to the affected page so I may look into it.

Unfortunately it's a local intranet site. Running on xampp if that makes a difference?

Could it be anything to do with changing the widths of the left and right menu items?

Do you think reinstalling the template would help?

None of these should make a difference.

You may want to check the markup / content you have added in the articles. If there is a missing div somewhere, it may cause the layout of the site to go off though...

I've deleted all of the content and created new articles with no formatting or styles. Still having the same issue :(

Attached is the HTML output that IE is reporting.

Edited the above, for some reason it didn't attach the html document

UPDATE: I've tried changing it to featured articles instead of the category blog layout. I get exactly the same result when the articles are laid out in the same way (leading, intro, links etc...)

The only thing I can think of is that there is a problem with how Joomla is parsing the HTML to send to IE, but I'm not good enough to find where the problem is.

Anything you can add really would be appreciated, as I'm definitely putting money into the template once I get this working!

    Cheers,
    David

Great to hear its fixed. I couldnt get the exact output and was beginning to assume it may be a joomla / platform thing that may be causing this!
