How to install on a mac

I have followed the install instructions and am getting an error, "Warning: Failed to move file!" I tried to install the zip file and I also tried to unzip and drag it into the template folder.
Nothing seems to work, any ideas?

The discussion has been resolved.

    Hi geoffdelgrande,

What errors/message did you receive when trying to discover the template? It also helps to clear the cache before doing this operation. Click the clear cache button in the toolbar.

Here's the link to the site to diagnose extension installation problems:

Also, you can check permissions within Joomla by going to Site > System Information > Directory Permissions and ensure that they're Writable for tmp (Temp directory) and templates.

What MAMP stack are you using on your macbook?

I have tried this with no luck. I also set the permissions to read and write for all users. Also the link you sent me take me to
"There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs. "
I am using a MacBook Pro (Latest OS) with Joomla 2.5 Do you have any other ideas? I don't mind paying for a template if I can make it work.

There are many reasons why the installation would not work. Most commonly being a permissions problem on your joomla directories.

If you extract the template directly into the templates folder, you will need to make use of the "discover" feature:
    1. Go to Administrator > Extensions > Extension Manager > Discover.
    2. Click button "Discover" on toolbar
    3. You should see the template name in the table of results at the bottom. Select the template and click install.

    Hope that helps!

PS. You can have a look at some of the reasons why the installer didnt work:
